Vedanta gets $60M to finish Phase 3 for C. diff microbiome therapy
Investors are pumping more money into one of the microbiome field’s longest-standing biotechs to push it toward a Phase 3 readout in C. difficile next year. Cambridge, MA-based Vedanta Biosciences said Thursday its two main existing investors, AMR Action Fund and BNP Paribas Asset Management Alts, contributed an additional $40 million. It got another $20 million under its existing contract with BARDA.
